Mikhail Youzhny of Russian will play against Marin Cilic of Croatia in the quarter final match in the German Open tournament in Hamburg on Friday 22nd July, 2011.

The 29-year-old Mikhail Youzhny has defeated wild card Julian Reister of Germany with a 6-3 and 6-3 in the third round of the German Open event on Thursday to reach quarter finals. In the second round, Mikhail Youzhny has beaten Carlos Berlocq in straight sets with a 7-5 and 7-6. The No. 4 seed Youzhny has played hard in the second round, but improved in the third round.

The World No. 26 ranked Marin Cilic has thrashed Tobias Kamke of Germany with a 3-6, 6-3 and 6-2 in the third round of the event in Hamburg on Thursday 21st July. The 22-year-old Cilic should fight hard to win the match against Russian star in the quarter finals at Hamburg.

Both the player is facing for the sixth time, where Youzhny leads 4-1 head-to-head win loss record against Cilic. The pair last meet in February in this season, Croatian star has won the match with a 2-6, 6-1 and 5-7.
