Marin Cilic and Nikolay Davydenko are safely through to the second round in Montreal, following their straight-set victories over respective opponents Andreas Seppi and qualifier Flavio Cipolla.

Aleksandr Dolgopolov of Ukraine won the Croatia Open for his first ATP title Sunday, defeating home favorite Marin Cilic 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.

Croatian Marin Cilic sailed past Italian Andreas Seppi yesterday winning in two straight sets 6-1 6-3 at the ATP Studena Croatia Open in Umag.

Cilic and Seppi will be squaring off for the sixth time in their careers at the ATP level when they clash in the quarterfinals of the Studena Croatia Open on Friday.

Cilic and Haase will be going head-to-head for the third time in their careers at the ATP level when they do battle in the second round of the Studena Croatia Open on Thursday.

Friday saw another big match of the German Tennis Championship 2011 when the two towers like structures, Mikhail Youzhny from Russia and Marin Cilic from Croatia, played a mind blowing quarter-final match.

Playing against each other, Tobias Kamke went against the Croatian International Marin Cilic for the first time in history in the 3rd round of the International German Tennis Championship in Hamburg, Germany.

22-year-old Croatian Marin Cilic defeated Bastian Knittel in a 3 setter match at the Rothenbaum Tennis Court, Hamburg as they met for their second round match at the 2011 German Tennis Championships.

The 29-year-old Mikhail Youzhny has defeated wild card Julian Reister of Germany with a 6-3 and 6-3 in the third round of the German Open event on Thursday to reach quarter finals. In the second round, Mikhail Youzhny has beaten Carlos Berlocq in straight sets with a 7-5 and 7-6. The No. 4 seed Youzhny has played hard in the second round, but improved in the third round.

The World No. 26 ranked Marin Cilic has thrashed Tobias Kamke of Germany with a 3-6, 6-3 and 6-2 in the third round of the event in Hamburg on Thursday 21st July. The 22-year-old Cilic should fight hard to win the match against Russian star in the quarter finals at Hamburg.

Both the player is facing for the sixth time, where Youzhny leads 4-1 head-to-head win loss record against Cilic. The pair last meet in February in this season, Croatian star has won the match with a 2-6, 6-1 and 5-7.
